The embroidered patch shows the Merseyside flag. Patch made by means of computer embroidery made on a blue background with white wavy lines in the middle and six gold mural crowns. The flag is finished with an elegant and aesthetic MERROW type frame.

Merseyside District Flag. The waves represent the River Mersey; six golden murals depict six counties: Birkenhead, Bootle, Liverpool, Southport, St Helens and Wallasey - which entered Merseyside County after its creation. Merseyside is a county in North West England, with a population of 1.38 million. It covers the metropolitan area concentrated on both banks of the lower course of the Mersey estuary and includes five metropolises: Knowsley, St Helens, Sefton, Wirral and Liverpool.
