Blue colour on the flag of Bahamas symbolizes beautiful Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean which are surrounding the islands, just like the blue stripes surround the yellow one on the flag. The black triangle represents the unity of all residents of the Isles, and gold belt in the middle is a symbol of sandy beaches.

The flag of the Bahamas was adopted on July 10, 1973.
